As a first year teacher, I am entering the school year with a blank slate. I want to provide my students with classroom supplies that they will be able to use on a daily basis. I want to create a vibrant classroom environment that aids to the ever changing needs of my students. My overall goal is to engage my students in an interactive and hands-on approach to learning. My students will be able to use the items I selected each and every day. Each student will be given a white board along with an expo marker and an eraser. These items can be used for literacy or math practice. The dry erase pockets are also a great resource to practice concepts. I want to provide my students with a bookshelf for the reading area along with book bins. Leveled books will be placed in the book bins so students will be able to meet their Accelerated Reader goals.
