Stock the Classroom
Funded Dec 31, 2018My classroom serves our entire school K-5 in the Reading Lab. I see every student in the school throughout the week, and because of this our supplies gets used up very quickly. We use crayons, pencils and colored pencils like in every class, every day. Now that I have all of this supplies, I have no qualms about opening up a new box of crayons or colored pencils. My students will not be without pencils for a very long time. I am also able to be more organized with my 10-drawer storage cart. My kindergarten and 1st grade students are learning their sight words by stamping the, and they are having so much fun doing so.
When my students saw all of the new supplies they were so excited. My Kindergarten students don't always get the opportunity to use things like the stamp and ink pads, so it makes learning their sight words extra special.
Now that we have these items I can spend more time focusing on developing quality reading lessons. Thank you for your generous gift!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Carr
This classroom project was brought to life by Someone Who Cares and 3 other donors.Wildcat Reading Lab
Funded Aug 6, 2018This was the first project I have ever attempted through the DonorsChoose organization, and because of you it was funded in less than 6 hours! The impact of your donation to this project reaches more than 600 children of low socioeconomic status. I was able to receive headphones for my students to use in their small group technology stations, which I never would have been able to afford on my own. Our district is very big on using anchor charts, and I was able to receive paper to make as many anchor charts as I want. I also received organizational tools, such as a timer, label maker, and paper cutter through this project as well. My students and I are so incredibly grateful for your donation, and we cannot thank you enough.”
