  • Privacy Shields for Completing Assignments

    Funded Dec 2, 2024

Thank you so much for funding my project for privacy shields for my students. They have already been a huge help in keeping the students' assignments private from wandering eyes & helping the students not be distracted by other students.

My students were so excited to see the the materials arrive to our classroom. They arrived shortly after our new school year began, & they have already been able to use them several times as we've been doing our beginning of the year benchmark testing.

Since this project was successful, I am wanting to start more projects to help my students. I'd like to start a project to get more colored copy paper for our interactive notebooks & other basic supplies that my students need, such as pencils, highlighters, notebooks, folders, etc. I'd also like to get more books for our class library.

Thanks again for funding our project!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Thorne

  • Basic Supplies

    Funded Dec 29, 2024

Thank you so much for funding my project for copy paper, Expo markers, & Crayola markers. I want my students to learn their content, and have fun with it. I will be able to have the supplies they need & prepare lessons for them.

My students were so excited to see the materials arrive in our classroom. We use Expo markers almost daily. Copy paper is always needed for assignments, notes home, etc. We use markers frequently for assignments & fun projects so we always run out of the basic colors.

Since this project was successful, I am wanting to start more projects to help my students. One idea I have is to get Scholastic Storyworks magazines again for next year. I'd also like to get some new & replacement books for my classroom library.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Thorne

  • Classroom Supplies

    Funded Nov 12, 2024

Thank you so much for funding my project for homework folders, an LED jellyfish lamp, pencils, & bookmarks. I want my students to learn their content, and have fun with it. I will be able to have the supplies they need & prepare lessons for them.

My students were so excited to see the materials arrive in our classroom. The homework folders will be used for all of the students to have an organized way of bringing home important information to their parents. The LED jellyfish lamp looks soothing & calming, & it can be kind of like a "class pet." We use pencils daily, & my students can color the bookmarks & use them in their library books.

Since this project was successful, I am wanting to start more projects to help my students. One idea I have is to get Scholastic Storyworks magazines again for next year. I'd also like to get some new & replacement books for my classroom library.

Thanks again for funding our project!”

  • Basic Supplies

    Funded Oct 19, 2024

Thank you so much for funding my project for a pencil sharpener, clipboards, markers, tiny resin animals, vinyl, & band-aids. I want my students to learn their content, and have fun with it. I will be able to have the supplies they need & prepare lessons for them.

My students were so excited to see the the materials arrive in our classroom. We needed a new pencil sharpener, & the tiny resin animals are for rewards & prizes. Band-aids are a necessity in any classroom—especially in elementary schools. We use Sharpie markers for labeling things. The vinyl is for various projects & bulletin boards here at school, & the clipboards are for the students to use in small groups when they aren't necessarily sitting at desks.

  • Scholastic Storyworks

    Funded May 8, 2024

Thank you so much for funding my project for Scholastic Storyworks magazines for my students. Our Reading textbooks have been updated, but I wanted my students to be able to have more current nonfiction stories to read. I will be able to teach multiple required state standards to my students using just one Scholastic magazine per month. Each student will be able to have their own magazine to write in to guide their comprehension while reading.

My students were so excited to see the the materials arrive in our classroom. They seem to love reading & enjoy using Storyworks this year. My students love trying new things.

Since this project was successful, I am wanting to start more projects to help my students. One idea I have is to get Storyworks again for my future class.

Thanks again for funding our project!”

Our grade level departmentalizes our subjects. Therefore, I teach ELA and Social Studies to all of our 4th grade students at different times in the day. I will teach approximately 50 students this year. The students' desks get very crowded due to the textbooks and supplies they need for my class, and I need a place for the other groups of students I teach to store their supplies when they are in my classroom. I want my students to be organized and learn organizational skills. Having Seat Sacks on their chairs will eliminate some of the clutter in and on their desks and allow them to have a place to store their supplies where they can be easily accessed. Their workspace will be clutter free, and their supplies won't be falling on the floor.
