Teaching Pre-K aged students is an exciting and rewarding career. You get to experience their first years of learning. This is where their imagination starts to grow and they start understanding how things work. Children this age learn best through hands-on activities that allow creativity and exploration. As a teacher, I want to give my students the best possible start they can have in their education so they have a strong foundation to build on throughout their school years. How fun would it be for an young, inquisitive child to be able to use a light table to explore and learn. The play doh stampers will be used during center rotations and will allow them to manipulate and learn their letters and numbers through hands-on activities which is key to their eye hand coordination, fine motor skills and the learning process. They will be able to stamp out their name, words, letters and numbers into play doh. The light table can be a powerhouse of learning and will be used during center rotations. It can be used for literacy and math centers. The light table will used by 4 students at a time. They can work on letter identification and writing, patterns, sorting, shapes, making pictures using tangrams, counting, etc.
