These flexible seating options and diverse books will help my students feel valued and give them an engaging area to read. I have a group of very diverse learners who speak multiple languages and come from different cultures. Through diverse books, students feel valued and it creates a sense of community among the students and classroom. My students love to read, and enjoy searching through the books to find those that they identify with. All the books that I place there are added with care and my students take a great responsibility in caring for it. I would love to add a small bookcase, table, and flexible seating options such as the ball and wobbly chairs so that they can have a place to wiggle as they read. With these diverse books and flexible seating options, I am hoping to build a sense of community among my readers.
