My students are a great group of kids, who benefit from a "non-traditional" approach to education. Providing my students with a learning approach that meets their unique set of needs, allows for learning and school to become a positive experience for them. Hands-on learning is the process of learning by doing. Each student has a different learning style and traditional instruction might not engage every student. Providing hands-on learning options and assignments will give students something new, fun, and encourage learning experience that can help reduce behavioral problems, and increase academic performance. The materials i'm requesting for my classroom include activities that will be used to implement our STEM learning time. These items such as a Think Fun Gravity Maze Marble Run Logic Game and STEM Toy, Learning Resources Gears! Gears! Gears! , and building activities will allow for the students to work together and problem solve, in high interest hands on learning tasks. The educational games such as SPLAT and Monkeys Up Family Board Game – Kids Learn Strategy, Social Skills and Improve Memory, Math will provide for fun way to review and build up learned skills. While working on academic skills it will also provide a time to facilitate and work on social skills, such a team work, and communication. In our classroom our goal is to make learning fun! These motivating, engaging and high interest resources will allow for me students to learn in ways that best meets all their needs. Not only will these resources help my students grow academically, but they will promote social skills, teamwork, and emotional regulation. Help me make a positive impact on my students lives :)
