  • Making an ImPrint on our Learning

    Funded Mar 20, 2023

Thank you so much for funding our printer project!!! Since we've received the printer I've been able to provide individualized charts, graphic organizers, scripts, scaffolds, and countless other supports for my students. Many of these supports I've laminated for the students as well. Laminating allows the students to reuse them by writing on them with a white board marker or simply make them more durable so they can be reused as needed. I've also been able to print mini bios of influential people as part of our monthly studies. As you'll read in the students' thank you notes, they loved these projects most of all.

I can't thank you enough for all your support! We use the printer everyday and it has made our classroom life significantly better. Your kindness and generosity is so greatly appreciated.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Nugent

  • Writing Our Own Success Story!

    Funded May 6, 2019

Thank you so much for donating to this project!

Since receiving these supplies, the students have each received their own writing notebook and have learned to edit their writing using colored pencils. They have also been using the dry erase markers to help them edit their work with checklists while writing. The students have become more excited about writing because of all the new supplies they are able to use and their writing has improved dramatically! Now that we are starting a new school year, I am excited to provide these supplies to my new students and watch their writing blossom as well!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Nugent

This classroom project was brought to life by Google.org and one other donor.
My students are learning how to play with each other respectfully and interactively but have very few toys to play with. They like to talk about what they are playing with but are stuck with broken toys, puzzles with missing pieces, and mismatched lego and block sets. With new toys such as car sets, community helper Legos, board games, and sensory dough, they will become better at sharing, communicating, taking turns, and developing necessary social skills while having fun! Games such as "Guess Who" will help the students develop their language skills by asking and answering questions about a person. "Chutes and Ladders," "Hi Ho Cherry-O," and "Candy Land" will teach them valuable turn-taking skills. Legos, blocks, and sensory dough will develop their creativity and teach them to share. Various puzzles will help them work as a team to solve a problem, take turns, and develop their critical thinking skills. I'm excited to see their social skills develop after receiving adequate resources! They will use these toys and games on Fun Fridays and during indoor recess.
