The seating options that I’m requesting will be an amazing additions to our kindergarten classroom. Flexible seating allows students to let out all of their excess energy in a calm and productive way. Flexible seating also gives students the chance to make a choice about their learning. When students have the opportunity to make choices they are more engaged in the lesson. Flexible seating will give these precious kiddos, with active minds and bodies, to stay engaged during instruction. The wobble chairs and balance balls will allow the students the option to sit in different types of chairs. These seats will let them move and wiggle while still being actively engaged in their lesson. The students will have the opportunity to use these seats when they are working individually at their desk. They will also use these chairs during small group instruction when they are working closely with their peers and collaborating with each other.
