The books that are listed in my project are for building a third grade classroom library at a charter school in Cedar Park, Texas. The photo you see in the profile is an example of what I would like to achieve. This is my first year teaching third grade and I want to provide my students with the best classroom materials possible. Guided reading is an integral part of the language art curriculum and our school does not have a guided reading program. These guided reading books will help my students strengthen their current abilities and provide opportunities to excel. I would also like to incorporate a listening center in our classroom. Studies show that listening to audio books help with student's decoding and comprehension capabilities.
