Honoring Our Veterans
Funded Nov 9, 2020Thank you so much for funding our project! We were so excited to see that you had so generously donated to our class, our students and our learning.
With the materials from this project, we have done a multitude of things. We replaced all of our Mac computer keyboards with the new ones that you supplied us with and we use those on a daily basis. It was so nice to connect these wireless devices and to enjoy their accuracy as we replaced older models.
The most exciting part of this project has come from our canvas materials. Students have printed on the tattoo paper that you provided and they transferred their Photoshop images to those canvases. They focused primarily on creating images to honor our veterans and we have seen great success with this project. Both our students and our veterans are loving this project and we are all so thankful for your generosity!”

Funded Oct 16, 2020We are still so excited about your support for our project. With our drone, we have been able to collect footage of key locations and attractions in our community. One of our students has done the majority of the studying and learning to become drone certified and he's now sharing his knowledge with others and teaching his peers.
In our class of self-directed learners, it's incredibly helpful to receive new tools that excite our learners. They are more than willing to do the hard part of studying and learning to overcome their challenges. To watch them overcome learning barriers, develop confidence, and the ability to change our small community with these tools is an amazing experience.
Thank you so much for your generosity and your commitment to helping our future generations learn. We have many plans for this drone that you provided for us and I'm sure you'll be seeing some of our videos online very soon. We sincerely appreciate you!”

Funded Oct 28, 2019Thank you so much for your generous support of our students and their learning. We appreciate all that you do for public schools and students.
With this project, we have used so much plotter paper to make interesting graphics. We were so excited to have a new 3D printer extruder and immediately put it to use. The picture frame holders and staplers are also essentials that we were glad to have on hand in our classroom. You provided so many great tools to our classroom and we are so excited to have your support.
We are so grateful for your kindness and your generosity.”

PBIS Banners Galore
Funded Oct 7, 2019We are so thankful that you supported our project. With our project "PBIS Banners Galore," we accomplished many goals.
We used printer paper, cardboard flyers, and adhesive spray to print eye catching graphics to remind our students of our positive climate and purpose at our school. With a large focus on positive behavior, we have had many wins this year. We just know that our graphics have helped us achieve this success.
We are so appreciative of your help and your generous contributions. Thank you again for your help.”

Funded Apr 17, 2018Our new resources are helping us wrap up this school year with excitement! Our new Squigz are so much fun and kids are eager to use them when they finish their work. We quickly added that bulletin board border to one of our graphic designs and it added the perfect touch to our work! Our new vinyl will be highly sought after when our students start printing their current Silhouette designs.
Our students are always so excited to open the packages that arrive from Donor's Choose projects. We truly appreciate your help and your generosity!”

A Smorgasbord of Learning Activities
Funded Oct 25, 2017Our project "A Smorgasbord of Learning Activities" included a variety of projects and students were thrilled to receive so many goodies. It was like Christmas morning when box after box arrived to our classroom.
We ordered 9 different products that relate to our quest for learning to program with Arduinos. These miniature computers are enabling my students to individualize their learning and to program games, animate still objects and to add musical components to silent pieces. The kids are absolutely enthralled with their learning opportunities and are even independently researching for more ideas.
Our project also included many basic needs for our classroom. Kleenex, batteries, and blindfolds for team building activities are seemingly simple products but they are highly valued since we use them daily. These little treasures help our classroom run smoothly.
We are so very appreciate of your generosity and will continue to value and use our new resources to expand our learning opportunities.”

Stepping Up Our Game
Funded Apr 7, 2016By funding our project, you fueled our students' desires to advance their learning. With our DJI Phantom 3 Standard Quadcopter Drone and hardshell case, our students have been motivated to research, explore, and record imagery from all around the region.
Before using our drone, students had to independently research the DJI Phantom 3 Standard Quadcopter Drone. By showing the initiative to learn about the equipment, they took a step towards responsible learning and towards self directing their learning projects. This initiative is a huge part of our classroom and this project enabled students to grasp and understand the importance of having initiative. Ultimately, this should carry over into other aspects of their life and not just be exemplified in our classroom. Thus, not only did this project motivate and inspire students to independently research and learn, but hopefully it taught them a life lesson that will stay with them. That could be the most valuable result of this project and we are most definitely thankful for your generosity.”

A Makerspace Room For Our Stemworks Learning Program
Funded Nov 4, 2015We were so excited to receive this grant! As we have planned and developed a Makerspace room, we've had community partners offer suggestions. While we are still waiting on their promised help, we are assembling the shelving and are actively using the resources you funded for our program!
The power tools are going to be amazing resources in our class as we are assembling wooden crafts for teachers and community members. In addition, we were pumped about the shelving that you provided for us. Organization is a key component to developing our Makerspace room!
Thank you so much for your help!”

Legos, Robots, and More!
Funded Oct 12, 2015We were so excited to receive our new classroom tools! Our Lego Mindstorm and instructional booklets have been an absolute hit with our middle school students. We have been so thankful that we ordered the instructional booklets because they have given us direction. When we first opened our Lego Mindstorm, we were rather overwhelmed. But the booklets have given us suggestions and we now have a plan for programming our Mindstorm. We are collaborating with a science class and are teaching a whole lesson on gravity and motion!
Thanks again for your generous contributions to our program!”

We Need This and That!
Funded Oct 19, 2015We were so excited to receive the goodies from this project. Your generosity has enabled so much learning in our classroom.
With students needing simple tools like computer mice and new batteries for keyboards, we immediately put those resources to work. The Makey Makey devices have inspired new learning all around the classroom with students programming games and learning activities on a daily basis. We requested items for our 3D printer and were thrilled to receive new filament and tape for the printer. We have yet to use the new paint brushes but will soon use those for staining wood products that students are building. Our new hardware tools are used daily in these wood building projects.
We are so very thankful for your support!”
