Funded Feb 9, 2022Thank you so much for your donation! My students were really grateful for the donation! The donation meant a lot to the students and it really motivated them to continue working. The students have really enjoyed using the carpet squares to focus on their work or to use when they finish an assignment early. The students have enjoyed using the carpet squares during our silent reading time. Before, the students did not have anything to sit on when reading silently since part of the classroom was tile. The carpet squares give the students a flexible seating option and the chance to not have to sit at their desk the entire school day. Thank you so much again for your donation and helping empower and motivate my students with the carpet squares!”

Funded Oct 1, 2021Thank you so much for the donation! My students were thrilled to be able to have their own pair of headphones! This has made it a lot easier for them to complete online assignments and has helped them to fous more. The students are very appreciative of the donation, as well as me. We cannot thank you enough! The students loved that the headphones had a microphone on them. They use the microphone to record themselves reading to practice fluency skills. This helps them to read without worrying about those around them since they all have headphones on.”

Make Learning Magical
Funded Feb 14, 2019Thank you so much for the headphones that were given to my classroom. My students were very surprised when they learned that they would have headphones to use. My school is a google school, and each student has a chromebook to use. When they complete their work on the chromebooks, they may have videos to watch, or have the opportunity to listen to an online book. However, watching educational videos or listening to an online book was difficult because not all of the students were able to purchase their own individual pair of headphones. The students had to listen to their computer without headphones, in a low volume, that most of the time they could not hear that well and distracted their classmates.
Since we have received the headphones, the students are now able to listen to their educational videos and books without interrupting their classmates. The students are able to focus better on their educational videos and books since they can clearly hear the sound now. The students have been able to earn more of their Reading Counts points since they have been able to listen to more stories since having the headphones. The students have been very grateful for the headphones and enjoy being able to use them.
The students enjoyed that the headphones were soft on their ears the most and had earbud sleeves. Before receiving the headphones, their were only two pair of headphones in the classroom and they were missing the earbud sleeves. The students would have to take turns using the headphones, which was difficult with such a large class. The students would try their best to use the headphones, but often tell me how bad they hurt their ears because they did not have the earbud sleeves. They are able to use these headphones and not worry about their ears hurting or being uncomfortable. They like that the headphones came with plastic bags to keep them in so that they do not get damaged. My class is very appreciative of receiving the headphones and treat them with care!”
