A Cozy Carpet!
Funded Aug 9, 2024Thank you so much for our carpet. The students absolutely loved walking in to see a bright, new rug! We also got so many compliments from other staff members with how beautiful our classroom looked. This rug has been a great meeting place for the students each day.
The students were eager to gather on the carpet for our mini lessons. They loved sitting closely together to read a book, work in math teams, and engage in lessons on the smart board. We are looking forward to continuing our meeting sessions!”

A Comfy Carpet!
Funded Jul 20, 2021We are so grateful to have received a new carpet for our room. The students were in awe on their first day!
This bright, colorful carpet really adds that cheerful touch of happiness that a kindergarten classroom needs! Each day my students ask if it is their turn on the rug.
This carpet has allowed us to build back the social, emotional skills that students have missed during COVID. Students get the chance to face each other during morning meeting, and have conversations back and forth in a safe place.
We absolutely love our classroom carpet, and are eternally grateful for your contribution to our home away from home!”

Outstanding Osmos
Funded Apr 15, 2020Our students have loved using osmo in the classroom. They were so excited to utilize the devices during center time!
They are hands-on learners and loved manipulating pieces on the table to solve puzzles on their screen. They beg to be placed in the osmo center! These are great for my ELL students as well!
We are so grateful to have received these devices. We cannot wait to continue using them in the upcoming year! We are hoping that students will get the chance to use the devices together this year, as we are reaching the light at the end of the COVID tunnel!”

Building Young Minds With Tablets
Funded Dec 29, 2018Technology has become a major part of school settings. In a world that is rapidly advancing in the field of technology, it is crucial for our students to become familiar with it.
I'm absolutely thrilled to have received these tablets. They are being used for many areas. We have used them as a center for reading. Students have had the opportunity to practice letter formation, phonics skills, and reading skills through engaging apps. The students love the opportunity to use their headphones in the tablet center. We have used these during math centers as well. Students have practiced adding, subtracting, and counting with the use of their tablets.
Additionally, these tablets have been a godsend for students with behavioral issues. The tablet is a great incentive for those students to complete a task without exhibiting behaviors. They look forward to working toward "tablet time".
These tablets have also served as alternative forms of books for those students who cannot read on their own. The tablet gives them the opportunity to have books read to them through the Raz-Kids app. In addition, student have the opportunity to touch words and follow with their fingers while linking these words to sound. The tablets have inspired many non-readers in my room who have previously lacked interest in picking up a book.
We are so grateful for the donations that we have received. They will be put to good use on a daily basis!”
