Healthy Bodies = Strong Minds in Pre-K!
Funded Aug 12, 2020My students and I are using the new resources for added health and safety. The Air Filter provides clean fresh air, the Method surface cleaner takes away the sticky table messes, replacement filter and light bulbs will ensure this project will continue to provide a clear learning space for well over a year to come.
The students didn't necessarily have a reaction. However when the parents are told we have these health and safety items in the classroom it puts them more at ease during this global health crisis.
It's no secret schools are a place where students are learning, exploring, and sharing...germs! Our Pre-K students are eager to get back to school and learn each day. Despite our best efforts to stay healthy, we all get sick, especially during cold and flu season. This causes students (and teachers) to miss valuable educational time.
However now with the air filter, cleaning products, humidifier and replacement filters & light bulbs it will all contribute to a better classroom environment. Thank you for the gift of clean air.”

Funded Dec 11, 2019Our students were shocked and so excited when they found out our project was generously funded! As soon as our new carpet arrived, our students began brainstorming new ways to use them. Their eyes lit up with joy as we began unrolling our new carpet.
Our new carpet has created a clean and cozy environment for our students to sit on and learn. The carpet colors created a calmer environment for our students to learn in. Additionally, our students are able to interact together during group games, dance, and read alouds and more on a new clean and cozy space. As a result of this project being funded, we not only received materials that were needed for our classroom, but our students learned about kindness and the joy of helping others.
Our students have already enjoyed working in small groups on the carpet that allows for space to move and sit comfortably. We have also enjoyed building classroom community on our new carpet. We are looking forward to using these donated materials with care and kind hands. Thank you again for showing our students the kindness and generosity of others.”

STEM in Pre-K With a Light Box
Funded Dec 4, 2019The Pre-K students really enjoyed the STEM in Pre-K with a Light Box donation. The children were able to experience gems glowing on the light box, x-rays of the human body along with color mixing paddles. They had such joy having a red and blue color paddle creating purple and discovering it for the 1st time.
The students where the ones that opened up a cardboard box the materials were shipped in. They were very excited to do so receiving new learning materials.
We will continue our learning experiences with light by having shadow shows, creating stain glass windows, hanging the children's silhouettes around the room and even using mirrors to study our reflection to create our very own self portraits.
This donation will make an impact for years to come.”

Funded Sep 16, 2019I would like to thank you on behalf of prekindergarten 162, located in Harlem New York. We are three and four years old and we really liked the musical instruments you gifted us. We were so excited and jumped for joy when we opened the box during our morning meeting. We loved how we were able to use the instruments during our five senses unit, when we were focusing on the senses of touch and hearing.
We also wanted to say thank you for the natural letters you gifted us. We were excited how they looked like real twigs and branches. We use them in for our word wall. Our names are under the letter that matches our first initial.
We are very happy that you funded our project.
Thank you,
Pre-K 162”
With gratitude,
Ms. Teresa
