My students are coming into 3rd grade reading at all different levels, and it is extremely important that students are able to access materials that are comfortable for them, while having the opportunity to grow their abilities and challenge themselves. I am most excited for my students to learn about how different life once was through reading biographies such as those about Harriet Tubman and Rosa Parks. My students will become exceptional readers through the help of their classroom library, and it will help them learn about diverse topics, increase their writing abilities and skills, and increase their vocabulary. Allowing students to be exposed to different books will only help them become the best readers they can be.
