Funded Sep 18, 2024I can't tell you how nice it is to have all of my student outfitted with the supplies they need! When we were doing sentence diagramming the other day, I was able to hand out highlighters to all of the students! No more sharing (and arguing, and bickering, and waiting!).
A new student joined our class last month and instead of waiting days to get him outfitted, I was able to pull everything he needed right out of the cupboard and get him started learning our routines right away. It was the smoothest transition I have ever had! There are going to be a lot of exclamation points in this thank you letter because these little things make my day, and theirs, so much nicer!
I am getting my 5th graders ready for middle school by giving them strategies to organize themselves. One of the methods is to color code our subjects. Notebooks and folders match... This year when I ask them to tuck a work in progress into their ELA folder, they all have a folder, and they are all the right color!
But the supply my students appreciated the most was the simple soccer ball they got for recess. Their old ball was falling apart at the seams, literally! They thank you, and I thank you, for making our year so much more productive and pleasant”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Rounds
