Chromebooks For Learning
Funded Feb 16, 2013Thank you so much for your contribution to this Chromebook cart. It will mean students have more access to laptops in their classes. We are excited to provide more structured opportunities for students to improve their research skills and work on improving their writing during class time. It also allows teachers to integrate web based simulations of increasing quality that are being developed. We could not have made this happen without your generous contribution.”

Having this hands on practice will benefit all of my students and allow students to participate more interactively in economics.
My students are always excited to use these tablets and engage digitally with these concepts. This enthusiasm is important in increasing student engagement, participation, and thus student learning. ”

Technology for the Economics Classroom
Funded Sep 9, 2010Thank you for providing technology resources to my classroom. As a result of these tools I have been able to record class content that students have been able to review a second or a third time.
Having this type of content on demand has made a big difference for students struggling in the course. In addition, having a class video camera has allowed students to produce multimedia pieces. For example, students were able to maker their own ad for the business they wanted to create.
thanks for your support”

Netbooks for Online Interactive Economics Classes
Funded Aug 30, 2010Thank you for your generous contribution to my classroom. The net books you provided have increased access to web based resources for our economics class. Students frequently use these computers to post content to our course web page and to search for relevant data to incorporate into the class.
For example, one student was able to go to the New York Times website and complete a simulation where they had to close the budget deficit by decreasing government spending and raising additional revenue. This student reported having a much deeper understanding of the challenges policy makers face in developing public policy as a result.
thank you so much for making this possible”
