Every person is built differently and we all learn in different ways. Desks and chairs make moving around in classrooms difficult and most students don't like to sit for long periods of time. Constant movement is important in a classroom. I want to create a classroom environment where students feel excited to come to class. I picked stability balls, balance stools, cushions and lap desks to give them the opportunity to make decisions and be more autonomous. Flexible seating makes students more actively engaged in class discussion, makes them physically fit and helps with special needs while developing a sense of community. Most importantly it helps with students' attention spans.
