Our classroom needs reading material that is current and relate-able to help build non-fiction literacy skills and to motivate students to read a wide range of real-world topics. The students also need books that are fun and popular to help foster a love for reading. Reading exposes kids to new vocabulary, as well as providing mental stimulation, stress reduction, and knowledge. Some of the titles on this list are self help books for kids which would help student understand their feelings and how to deal with them. By providing interesting and entertaining reading material, I hope to help students learn to enjoy reading!

About my class
