What's Cooking in Mrs. Tosh's Class
Funded Jul 16, 2018We are already a week and a half into school and my students have gotten the opportunity to wear their new aprons and use their dishcloths. I was in fourth period when the secretary delivered the boxes. My students were thrilled to open the box immediately! Even though we were just taking notes that day, they all wanted to wear aprons. I used the hooks in one of my cupboards to hang the aprons and I placed the dishcloths in each of the student's kitchen. We made easy veggie dip with pretzels and carrot sticks for our first cooking lab. The students loved putting the aprons on and helping other students in their group to tie them 'correctly'. One student even told me 'the aprons make me feel and look like a real chef!" The dishcloths have helped tremendously with cleaning and messes. They also look so festive hanging to dry on the oven handle.
All of the students and I are already looking forward to next week when we cook again and they get to wear their aprons and use their dishcloths! They are by far their favorite part of Family and Consumer Science class!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Tosh
