Red for the Vowels Makes a Dyslexic Child Read Better...

Funded Jan 4, 2024

We are so grateful for your donations. Last month I did a presentation on Dyslexia for my school's faculty and because of the resources I was able to get donated by you, I gave the teachers lots of tools and resources to facilitate learning for students with Dyslexia. In just a short month and a half I have seen the progress in my students' reading skills. One of the reading techniques I use is when teaching new words, vowels are printed in red. Dyslexic students process their words different than we do and this helps them "re-shift" their mind set and how they read the word.

Your contribution made a huge impact on our Special Education students. We are a Title 1 school with little resources and for the students to see worksheets printed in color rather than the usual black and white, would have been impossible if it wasn't for the resources donated to us.”

With gratitude,

Ms. Catasus
