These materials selected are essential for learning organizational skills, promote teamwork and logical cognitive skills. Instructional time is lost when redirection occurs during transition. The pouches will house most of the significant materials need, thus reducing transition time. The games are needed for indoor recess, enhance logical cognitive skills and promote teamwork. Some of the children create their own games during indoor recess, others invent games that involve guns and handcuffed. They need an old fashioned alternative like board games, which promotes healthy social - emotional wellness behaviors. The math chart is needed because I do not have one and the students are required by the end of first grade to count to 120. Some students are visual learners and it is my belief that some of my students need the visual chart as a permanent fixture in the classroom.
