Having a common meeting area to gather during lessons will help promote a collaborative learning community. It will also allow all the students to be comfortable and ready to learn. I want the students to feel invited and welcomed. This rug will allow each student to have a place and fell like they belong. I want everyone to fit. I plan a variety of lessons and activities throughout the day. Some lessons and activities are whole group while others include small groups and partner work. A large carpet will give the students another option to sit at and do their best.
