My students need a class set of locks and keys for a hands on and engaging multiplication activity where they must match the correct key/answer to the lock with the correct equation. Students will enjoy solving multiplication and divisions equations by matching the correct lock(with an equation on it) with the key that has the correct answer. I use guided math with independent practice stations. This activity will keep students engaged, practicing, and they will enjoy learning. It is also an activity where the students do not need the teacher right beside them to help solve. The teacher can be working with other students while this station works independently. The students can learn trial and error and grow to timing themselves to unlock them in a certain time frame. It is great for all levels of learning and all types of learners.
