Books can open up our world. This is why a classroom library with a variety of books is so important to me and to my third graders. I want to improve the selection of books in my classroom library to reflect our diverse world. Through this project I will be able to expose my third graders to inspirational stories that will allow them to learn about our world with open minds. I have also picked books that have characters that represent my student population, so they can read about characters that look like them.
