Funded Dec 20, 2024My students were so excited to get our new equipment, especially the Garden Heroes plush fruits and vegetables because we don't have anything like that to use in class! Who doesn't love a plush with an adorable name??? This has created a memorable connection that has sparked many conversations linking back to the food choices they make at school and home.
The food group beanbags have helped solidify the five food groups along with the reminder about foods we should only eat from time to time. The corresponding colors on the MyPlate graphic help students know how much of each food group to put on their plate! The book provides excellent graphics with images of delicious, healthy foods the kids would enjoy eating!
