My classroom is a blend of abilities, economic backgrounds, and cultures. Even with normal student mobility, the gender mix remains balanced. Not every child has access to a computer or the Internet at home. My students are eight and nine years old. The level of academic support each child receives at home is very varied. We live in a suburban area and approximately 40% of the school population receives free or reduced lunch.
