My students are all extremely diverse. Some students begin Kindergarten not knowing a word of English. Others come in having gone to Pre-K and know exactly what to expect from school. Most children come in eager to learn and are extremely excited for Kindergarten. Since I teach an inclusion class some of the children come in with IEP’s (Individualized Education Plans). This gives specific goals the children have to meet that is on their level. The children with IEP’s tend to need more individualized attention. The school is located in New York City and has a diverse population.
