My students were thrilled with the new listening center. It added a new center/workstation that allowed them to listen to stories read aloud. Listening to a story read aloud is not just an enjoyable experience but it also provides students with the opportunity to hear correct pronunciation, expressive language, and fluent reading. The best part for students was the wireless capability of the headphones. This meant they did not have to be confined by cords as they enjoyed the stories. This center was and still is a big hit in my classroom.”
My students are eager Kindergarteners ready to learn to read. Our school is located in an inner city/high poverty level neighborhood. For many of them this is their first time in any formal educational setting. They come seeking to learn new things everyday.
