Transiting from Kindergarten to 3rd grade presents many exciting challenges, with one being the need of a more rigorous classroom library. Providing a variety of texts for my students is essential for improving reading skills, strategies and vocabulary. I want to provide my students with a diverse library consisting of many genres that spark interest in reading. Voice and choice when choosing books is imperative to improving reading stamina and promoting a love for reading. Having a variety of texts readily available in the classroom will set my readers up for success!
