The Promethean will be used during reading, language arts, math, and science as supplement to instruction. One of the greatest benefits is that the interactive board can be used during any unit in any content area. In math, the interactive board offers tools and interactive math manipulatives for demonstration, such as full screen calculators, rulers, angles, and geometric shapes. Math problems and formulas can literally be broken apart and taught step-by-step. In both language arts and reading, we will use the interactive board features to guide students through text. We can highlight, notetake, insert images and video, and be able to better analyze text. The interactive board allows multimodal instruction that benefits every student. Visual learners will be able to view content using innovative lessons. Kinesthetic learners will be able to touch and manipulate concepts and learning. Auditory learners will be able to hear information in novel ways.
