Technology to the Rescue!
Funded Sep 13, 2020With these devices, my students get to practice their technology skills by logging into special reading programs we have and choosing books of their liking to read. We are currently studying superheroes and these devices easily let us find books at the touch of a screen. Through these devices, we are catering to the individual needs and interests of each of my students. They have learned and adapted to searching books independently with these devices. My students look forward to using these devices daily.”

Hands-On Learning!
Funded Sep 5, 2018Thank you again for your generous donations to our classroom. Since we are learning new letters and numbers everyday, the magnetic number and letters are so helpful for small group work and students love trying to create words with the letter tiles on the mini magnetic boards.
My students loved all the new materials. They were very excited to try out the math peg boards and used teamwork to complete the new large floor puzzles. When my students are finished with their classwork, they go to our writing center and take the special newsprint writing paper and practice their letters and words.
My students continue to use the different newsprint paper to practice their letters and words. The next step for them is to practice writing sentences on these papers and drawing pictures to match. They will continue to take pride in their learning and hard work.”

Print and Go Worksheets!
Funded Jul 21, 2018Thank you again for your donations. This printer has been helpful in so many ways. Coming from a school with limited resources, this printer has allowed me to print differentiated sheets on the spot. The printer is easily accessible and students know where to grab their sheet from and get to work. This has also been really helpful since I have been receiving new students in the past couple weeks. I am able to print out sheets of letters that we have previously gone over for a review.
Many of my students come into school not know how to write letters, numbers, or their names. This printer has allowed me to print out each student's name on handwriting practice sheets, which they use every morning. As they master their first name, another sheet is made with their first and last name, which they become very excited about.
With this new equipment in the classroom, students have become interested in how the actual machine works. They are amazed at how the printer can copy something from a book and print it out. Some students become very inquisitive on the whole printing process and it makes for a good discussion.
From class K01 and myself, thank you all for your generous donations!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Sebastian
