Challenge Me, Please!
Funded Oct 25, 2018Thank you so much for helping to fund our project! The students are truly enjoying the materials on a daily basis.
The lap desks make flexible seating more comfortable for students. This group of kids enjoys working all around the room and the lap desks allow them to work on the floor and still have a sturdy surface to write on.
The book club books are such a hit! We are currently in the middle of a rotation of clubs and the students are really into the books they're reading. We read a portion, then meet and discuss the reading. Their comprehension soars when they are held accountable by discussing what they read with a group.”
With gratitude,

Funded Aug 22, 2018My students are so thankful for the classroom snacks you helped to fund. Each day, we take a break mid-morning to fuel our brains and keep us energized until lunch time. It's such a relief that my students who do not have access to snack from home, never have to worry about feeling hungry all morning. We do important work all day, but especially in the morning! We have our 90 minute reading block in the morning, which requires students to be digging deep and giving their work all they've got. The nourishment from our snacks allows this to happen each day!
When I first told the students our project was funded they were very excited. But those were just words! When they SAW the large boxes arrive, the excitement grew. Then when they watched me unpack all of the snacks, they were ecstatic! They are just so thankful for the help you've provided.
We currently have another project posted requesting classroom library/literature circle book sets, as well as floor desks. We have access to laptops for all students and the floor desks will give them a comfortable, flexible spot to work. They love to work in different areas of the room, so these will provide them that flexibility. The students this year are reading at an incredible level. We are requesting higher level books to read and discuss with groups.”
