  • Snacks and Supplies

    Funded Oct 3, 2023

When we began this school year, 11 months after Hurricane Ian, we were surprised to see how many families were still being affected, almost one year later. Students and families were still displaced, many living in campers and RVs as repairs to their home continued.

Thanks to this project being funded, there were a few things students and families did not have to worry about when returning to school. A morning snack for anyone who needed one was available. Basic supplies, like notebooks, folders, and pencils were stocked in the classroom for them.

Thank you for your generosity and continued support of our students!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Taylor

  • Comfort at School After Hurricane Ian

    Funded Oct 19, 2022

It is with great gratitude I write to tell you how your generosity has affected my class. This project allowed me to provide them with some flexible seating and storage. These little things helped make life feel "normal" after we returned to school following Hurricane Ian. Our classroom was the only normal place we had after the devastating storm. Being able to offer them more options for seating also helped my students relax and re-engage after the traumatizing experience that was experienced by us all. I am so grateful for people like YOU who make a difference in children's lives!”

  • Third Grade Leveled Books

    Funded Nov 16, 2022

It is with great gratitude that I write this thank you letter. The amount of students that have had the benefit of the reading books crosses multiple grades. I started out by book bags that included both the books and teacher lesson plan card. These were made available to any teacher who needs to add additional reading text to their small groups. The ability for teachers to provide quality materials without having to purchase on their own has impacted many students. The ability to have these books to use not only in my classroom but the rooms of my fellow teammates brings quality materials without much prep, saving time for my fellow colleagues. We are now in a time (3 years later) where they can partner up without socially distancing themselves. These materials are not only supporting our reading skills but social skills as well. My next steps is promoting and creating student activities for each text. My hope is that this will provide the reinforcement for skills but also time for teachers to pull and work with specific students. This grant has given our students so much.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Taylor

  • Help Students Return to Normalcy After Hurricane Ian

    Funded Oct 13, 2022

It is with great gratitude that I write this thank you letter. The amount of students and families that have had the benefit of a sense of normalcy after Hurricane Ian. Your generous donation helped fund a project full of classroom snacks that lasted the students several months. Having one less thing to worry about after the destruction our town suffered was such a relief for families. Our town continues to rebuild, one day at a time. My hope is that this project provided students and families with some reassurance that things would get back to normal after the devastation.”

  • Brain Fuel!

    Funded Dec 16, 2020

Thank you so much for the variety of delicious snacks for our classroom. The students loved the variety and are excited to grab one each day! Because our lunch isn't until 1:15, they really need that mid-morning brain boost. We recently had some students return to school after being at home remote learning since August. One boy said, "Wow, are those all for us?" He couldn't believe all of the snacks that were available. The candy provides sweet rewards for students who pass multiple lessons on their adaptive computer program. We are so thankful for people like YOU, who care about kids!”

  • Remote Instruction? No Problem!

    Funded Aug 11, 2020

Thank you so much for supporting my classroom!

I use the three-tiered cart every single day! I am teaching both brick and mortar AND via ZOOM for students who chose remote learning. I travel between two classrooms to teach the two different groups, so this cart allows me to easily transport all my materials.

My students are practicing locating text evidence and annotating text. The highlighters are an excellent tool for them to visually locate the evidence.

The Growth Mindset Journals are an excellent resource to keep our minds strong and positive!”

  • Are We Playing or Learning? BOTH!

    Funded Mar 2, 2020

Thank you so much for your generosity. The support for my classroom is so appreciated! Unfortunately, due to COVID, these wonderful resources are still on the shelf. I cannot wait for the time when my students can use these learning games to enhance their skill mastery. They so often ask if we can take them out and play, but unfortunately the way of the world will not allow that to happen right now.

When they are unboxed, I have no doubt that my students will have such a blast playing, while also practicing necessary third grade skills!”

  • Snacks for Success!

    Funded Dec 16, 2018

My students are thrilled to have access to snacks each day. The excitement on their faces when the new snacks arrived was priceless!

Many students do not have access to snacks at home. The funding of this project helped alleviate the stress of where their need for brain fuel would come from. The students are much more focused and less concerned about when lunch is when they can munch on a healthy snack mid-morning.

Thank you again for helping to provide a basic need for some amazing children!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Taylor

These snacks will allow my students to focus on learning, instead of hunger. Many of our students come from low income families and often do not eat breakfast. More so, they do not have snacks at home to bring to school. When students can focus on learning, instead of hunger, they are happier, more productive, and more confident. All children deserve to feel nourished and taken care of every day. How can we expect students to focus on school work when all they can think about is food? These snack foods will allow students to be more productive in the classroom.
