My students and I were talking one day about what their perfect classroom would look like. The most popular response was to get rid of their desks and hard chairs, and to make their classroom more comfortable and exciting. My students also explained that they hate sitting all day. They would love to find ways of learning, but still moving and keeping active. I agree with my students! I don't think it's fair to make students sit still and tall at their desk for hours. I would love to grant my students wishes of providing them their dream classroom. The supplies that I'm requesting will keep my students engaged and active. The Wobble Stools will keep my kids wobbling forward and backwards, and balancing while working at their tables. The surf lap desks allow for the students to spread out a bit on the floor while providing them a workspace. Lastly, the portable wiggle cushions are very mobile and would allow any student to use them in any location while allowing for movement the necessary release of pent up energy and possible frustration. These seating options will be available for those students who need to be energized and moving. This will also help contribute to my students sixty minutes of active time needed to keep them healthy.
