  • Science Fair: A Fantastic, Magnificent, Spectacular Time of Year!

    Funded Nov 12, 2024

On behalf of my students and myself, I want to extend my deepest gratitude for your generous donation to our upcoming science fair in May. Thanks to your support, we've been able to secure the supplies we need to bring our science projects to life, and the excitement in the classroom is already palpable!

Your donation will play a key role in helping students explore, experiment, and showcase their creativity and scientific curiosity. From building models to conducting experiments, the materials you've provided will give them the hands-on experience they need to deepen their understanding of scientific concepts and develop critical problem-solving skills. It's clear that having the right tools will make a huge difference in the quality of their projects—and the pride they'll feel when they present their hard work.”

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for your incredibly generous contribution to our classroom. Thanks to your support, we were able to purchase paint and brushes that are now being used in every subject area, enriching our students' learning experiences in unexpected and exciting ways.

    Funded Jul 29, 2024

I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for your generous contribution to our classroom. Thanks to your support, we were able to purchase interactive notebooks that have already begun to make a meaningful impact on our students' learning experience.

These notebooks are more than just supplies—they are powerful tools for engagement and creativity. My students are now able to explore lessons in a hands-on, personalized way, making learning both fun and effective. The ability to organize, reflect, and create within these notebooks has inspired a new level of enthusiasm in the classroom, and I have seen firsthand how they've helped students take ownership of their learning”

  • Science Rocks!

    Funded Aug 3, 2023

For my last five years of teaching I have been using interactive notebooks to help students understand and keep track of everything we have learned throughout each unit. All of the units I teach build on each other, and the notebooks prove highly powerful in helping students recall information.

Not only does it help recall of information, but it also deeply helps with organizational skills. Students are required to keep a table of contents, numbered pages, and an overall neatly maintained notebook as part of our AVID organization plan.

Thank you to all the donors that choose to continuously help my classroom be successful!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Salas-Munoz

  • Language For Everyone!

    Funded Jul 21, 2023

Over the last two years I have been using interactive notebooks to help students keep track of what we have learned, stay organized, and to teach about accountability. These worked out exceptionally well this year, and students have been proud of the work they have done over the last year. This has been a great preparation for their transition to middle school, and the organizational skills that it will require.

The notebooks, glue sticks, and other materials have been well loved/used by 60 students. We cannot entirely express the gratitude we have for donors who choose to help our students be successful.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Salas-Munoz

  • Cell Celebration!

    Funded Sep 8, 2023

Students created a candy model of an animal cell. They had to explain each part of the cell, how it made sense to the function of that organelle, and then draw their candy cell with labels to submit as their final. This taught my students the parts of a cell and their functions, and how it relates to the ways our organs work in our bodies.

This project is one that helped me create incredible memories with my students. Today, students still say it is one of their favorite projects we have done this year! Thank you to all the generous donors that helped make this project a reality!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Salas-Munoz

  • Cajas De Carton: a Novel Study for 6th Graders!

    Funded Aug 2, 2023

Thank you so much for helping us with our literacy unit! This is a book we have read for many years in 6th grade, and every year students love it. As you can imagine, over time books go missing. This year, we were able to have every student with their own book, all because of donor's like you!

We are incredibly grateful for this community that helps our classroom run efficiently, and allows for students to enjoy an incredible novel that opens them up to different experiences.

The books, along with the maps, helped students visually understand where the family navigated over the course of the story.”

    With gratitude,

  • Science Fair!

    Funded Oct 2, 2023

I want to thank every single one of you for making this science fair such an amazing success! Students worked incredibly hard to choose projects they were interested in, and make them come to life. All materials that were funded through this project were put through great use. Students came up with incredible ways to decorate and demonstrate their understanding of the scientific method.

This year, students went above and beyond to share with their family everything that we have learned about the scientific process. We hope you enjoy the tri-folds that they each made!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Salas-Munoz
