I just finished my first year of teaching, and the fulfillment that I felt from seeing my students' growth throughout the year was even more than I could have imagined! I teach at a school that reflects the diversity of Atlanta. My students this year came from a variety of backgrounds, with 7 different languages being brought into my classroom. One of my favorite parts of teaching is giving students the opportunity to share and learn about each other's backgrounds. We developed a safe space for constructive and sometimes difficult discussions. My students' curiosity and eagerness for learning were inspiring for me, and they taught me so much! With all that I learned, I hope to provide my next class with an even better experience!
