The donation of these leveled books will not only directly affect my classroom, but all Kindergarten classrooms in my little building. Appropriate text levels are crucial to introduce at the early stages of learning to read. Students need these specific books to really understand concepts of print and to become successful readers. We work with these books in small groups on a daily basis. The books we currently have are helpful to send home with students so they can continue their exposure at home, however, we are in desperate need of books that help us inform our instruction for our early readers.
