Every student in my class has the ability to achieve greatness. We have been granted an iPad for each student as a part of our magnet grant but the headphones are usually provided by parents and most of them stop working after a short while. The use of headphones in our class will create many opportunities for my students. They will no longer have to keep the iPads on silent which will increase their enjoyment 10 fold, helping create a love of learning and student success. Having headphones to use with their iPads will also help instill a love of reading and reading skills in my students since we have access to programs like Raz Kids, Iread and STMath. It will allow them to listen to fluent reading, build their vocabulary, and improve their listening skills. They will also have the chance to practice math, handwriting, and vocabulary along with other skills aligned with their ability, creating more confidence in the students. I am asking for an additional two headphones in case any of them break.
