Funded Aug 15, 2023The project "Earth Day, Every Day" has had a significant impact on my students it helped promote environmental awareness and sustainability on a daily basis. Students heightened their awareness of environmental issues, understanding the importance of sustainable practices in their daily lives. They grew more conscious about reducing waste, conserving energy, and making environmentally responsible choices. Some students felt so empowered they took action and contributed to positive environmental changes like picking up trash during their recess and lunch.
The project gave students the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning experiences, such as planting succulents, reusing shredded paper for art projects, and recycling water bottles. These practical experiences deepened their understanding and connection to environmental issues.
Our project extended beyond the classroom, involving parents, teachers, and the broader community. Students helped promote sustainable practices. This created a more comprehensive and lasting impact. It instilled a sense of pride and accomplishment in my students as they saw the tangible results of their efforts to make a positive impact on the environment.”
