The more exposure and opportunities a student has to read, the more he or she will learn about the world and themselves. Reading is an opportunity to build vocabulary, creativity of the mind, and mindsets to want to break down barriers. As students grow, so should their mindsets of wanting more and more knowledge. What better way for students to obtain this knowledge than through flexible seating? The project for standing desks will help create a welcoming environment that allows students to sit or stand. This flexible seating will allow those students who need to stand and complete assignments or assigned readings the comfort of knowing they too can learn and grow without being confined.
