Thank you so much for your wonderful donation to our class project. I am so excited to tell my students about the games they will receive. We will certainly put these learning games to good use. Your kindness and generosity is greatly appreciated. Thank you again for your donation to our classroom.”

  • We Need Exciting Reading Materials to Inspire Young Readers

    Funded Nov 10, 2021

I wanted to express my deepest gratitude for your generous donations to our classroom project. My second graders were so excited to receive the Time Magazine and Scholastic Magazine subscriptions. We use these magazines at least twice a week, usually on Fridays. My students remind me every Friday morning that it is their magazine day (instead of their usual reading program).

My second graders especially enjoy Scholastic's digital resources, which provide my students with activities and videos to go along with the magazines.

Thank you again for your generosity.”

  • Help Aspiring Authors With Personal Journals

    Funded Nov 10, 2021

I wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the personal journals and magnetic writing pages that you provided for my classroom. My second graders love to write. They were so surprised to receive the big box of journals. My students use their journals every day. Sometimes, they write about whatever they would like to write about. Other days, I use the Giant Magnetic Early Writing Pages to model writing about a specific topic or to provide a writing prompt to my students.

These journals will be given to the parents at the end of the year as a keepsake of their child's second grade school year.

Thank you again for your generosity.”

  • Help For Aspiring Mathematicians

    Funded Nov 10, 2021

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generous donations. My second graders enjoy math very much. These Math Center Games are so motivational and fun to play. My students were so excited to receive these materials! My student teacher introduced the games in small groups. Now, my students are able to play the games independently with a partner.

These games have helped my students to become more fluent in math facts. The games have also helped them to gain a stronger grasp of place value and number sense.

We are so appreciative of your generous donations.”

  • Help Us Start The Year Off Right With Supplies

    Funded Oct 12, 2021

I wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the materials that your donations provided. My second graders were so excited to receive the personal dry erase boards. We use them every day during math and language arts.

The birthday wristbands, pencils, and calendar tags are so important for my students. They look forward to receiving them on their special day. They love to show the wristbands to other staff at the school so that everyone knows it is their birthday.

Having the supplies that we need is so important. We truly appreciate your generous donations.”

  • We Need Supplies To Promote Diversity And Self-Love

    Funded Sep 23, 2021

Thank you again for your generosity. My second graders are beautifully diverse. They come from many different backgrounds and settings. The crayons that are provided by our school do not always reflect my students' gorgeous skin tones.

The People Colors Crayon Packs, Make a Face Sheets, and crinkly hair strips are perfect for completing an All-About-Me book. The Write-A-Story blank books will be used to create their books and share with parents at Back-to-school night as a celebration of my beautiful students.

Your generosity is so greatly appreciated.”

  • We Need Exciting Reading Materials to Inspire Young Readers

    Funded Aug 4, 2020

Every year, this is one of the "staples" that we use in our classroom Thank you so much for our subscription to Scholastic Magazine. Although I am not able to distribute any magazines to students in person, they are able to access the magazines online using a code. There are actually even more activities for the students to complete using the digital access code. They love the stories, especially the ones that deal with animals.

The digital subscription to Scholastic magazine is used daily. We use the magazine during small group reading time. The digital subscription even has short videos about the topic, games, and dance breaks. The students love them.

Distance learning has been challenging for my students, but resources like these have made learning at home a lot more exciting. Thank you for all that you do for students. We appreciate it so much.”

  • My Resilient Students Need Resources To Improve Their Emotional Well-Being

    Funded Aug 26, 2020

Thank you so much for our social-emotional prompts and our growth mindset journals. I was able to distribute the journals to my students during a materials pick up day at my school. My students were so surprised to receive these resources. We use the Growth Mindset journals every Monday. My students look forward to reading about different people and their character traits, such as Amelia Earhart's perseverance and Ruby Bridge's bravery.

The social-emotional prompts are a wonderful way for my students to engage with each other in ideas and questions about their own lives and feelings. We use these prompts daily. Students have become so great at listening to each other, taking turns, and responding to each other's ideas.

Distance learning has been challenging for my students, but resources like these have made learning at home a lot more exciting. Thank you for all that you do for students. We appreciate it so much.”

  • Mathematicians Need Your Help

    Funded Jul 24, 2020

Thank you so much for our number lines, Bug Number Toss, and math journals. I was able to distribute the number lines and math journals to my students during a materials pick-up day at my school. My students were so surprised to receive these resources. My students were particularly happy with the number lines. They had been drawing their own or using a ruler as a number line. The ones from this project are so colorful and perfect. My students love them.

The math journals are a wonderful way for my students to practice writing down their mathematical thinking. We engage in word problems daily, and surprisingly, my students love them. They enjoy the challenges of solving problems and delight in showing their thinking in the math journals.

I have saved the Bug Number Toss for my own virtual classroom. We use it during class to "liven up" an activity or to play math addition and subtraction games. The kids love it.

Distance learning has been challenging for my students, but resources like these have made learning at home a lot more exciting. Thank you for all that you do for students. We appreciate it so much.”

  • My Resilient Students Need Cursive Writing Books and Math Journals

    Funded Jul 25, 2020

Thank you so much for our cursive writing books and math journals. I was able to distribute these items to my students during a materials pick up day at my school. My students were so surprised to receive these resources. My students were particularly happy with the cursive writing books. One of them said, "Now I will be able to write like a grown-up!" We use the cursive writing books every Friday. My students look forward to "cracking the code" of grown-up writing. They love that they are able to write on the books with dry-erase markers and wipe off letters when they want to revise.

The math journals are a wonderful way for my students to practice writing down their mathematical thinking. We engage in word problems daily, and surprisingly, my students love them. They enjoy the challenges of solving problems and delight in showing their thinking in the math journals.
