  • Enhance Student Motivation, Morale and Organizational Skills

    Funded Aug 14, 2024

I am in awe at the generosity that everyone has shown me and my students this year. I can not wait for my vision to come to life with the help of these items and how it will create the motivation to learn, grow and having a successful school year.”

  • Technology In The Classroom

    Funded Jan 10, 2024

Thank you , thank you, thank you so much for your support for helping provide headsets to all of my students which allowed for them to be more focused on their individualized instruction that was computer based. Then while other students were in small groups they were able to concentrate more on what the teachers and the groups were doing. Without your donation my students would not have been able to be actively engaged with the online materials that could be individualized for their own levels and no one would know. This not only helped to build confidence and then then were to grow and learn on their own independent levels.”

  • We Love to Write!

    Funded Feb 8, 2023

With your generous donations my student have been doing some fantastic things. They have been writing narrative stories, completing all written assignments and have even began writing some amazing poetry. Getting a new pencil and eraser is like Christmas to my students. They want pencils that are very sharp, and of course erasers because as we al make mistakes this environment is a place of learning and mistakes happen often. With the fourth quarter our students will be writing end of the year letters to the 4th graders as well as some speeches that they will say during their move up ceremony. Writing is a part of our everyday lives in the classroom and you all have made it possible for our students to feel secure knowing that they do not have to worry about where they are getting the supplies from.”

  • Fidgets and Fun Games

    Funded Aug 19, 2021

Thank you so much your the generosity that you have shown to my students. My students are in love with poppets and look forwards to reading independently when they get to use them. These fidgets keep my students calm and focused throughout the day.

When I displayed the fidgets for my students to look at, the first thing they started to do was say which one they wanted first. Of course there are a few that is a crowd favorite but I make them work out a schedule for who would get to use that particular one. Which has developed a sense of community within our classroom and helps them learn how to problem solve on their own.”

  • End of the Year Fun!

    Funded Aug 19, 2021

I understand that this is late to come and I truly apologize. I definitely appreciate your generous donation of items to my class. With these items my students have been able to have fun both inside and outside of the classroom. Having these games has helped when it is either to cold, snowing or raining and we have to stay inside and play.

My students are very excited when they get to play with these items and even getting to choose from the prize snacks bin after they have had an amazing week.

With only a few more months to go, we are starting to plan our carnival and how they are going to incorporate these fun things into the day.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Graham

  • Diversity Enriched Classroom Library

    Funded Jul 1, 2021

We have been really fortunate to have the addition of diversity within our libraries. With these new additions a new found love for reading has developed with every new book that they get a chance to read or even listen to. We have silent reading everyday and the students get to read whatever they want to and I read to them at the end of the day as well. They especially enjoy mysteries because it leaves them guessing and wanting to find out what happened. Which of course leads them to want to read or for me to not stop reading. It's exciting to see my students get so excited to read and it was all made possible by everyone who donated to this class.”

    With gratitude,

  • Graphic Novels Are Amazing

    Funded Jan 25, 2020

With everything that has happened with Covid-19 and school being shut down. My students didn't get a chance to enjoy the books as much in the classroom. Now that we are back in the classroom and I was given the opportunity to move up with my class from last year. I have put the new books out for them to read. I have to be careful with sharing books, so whatever book that they choose they will get to keep and add to their personal library. Students are enjoying all the new books so much so that they volunteer to read to the class, so that their fellow classmates can enjoy the book that they are reading, because they know that they can't hand the book over to the next student. It has really helped with getting my students a chance to read more and enjoy reading out loud to the class.

Thank you for your generous donations and for helping my students learn to love reading out loud.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Graham

This classroom project was brought to life by Townsend Press and one other donor.
My students have a designated reading time throughout the day and love to read graphic novels. Currently we have six graphic novels for my class to share. Having more of a variety of novels will ensure that every student is reading and will even decide to read when they have some down time after assignments. My students are happier when they are reading graphic novels. They are more engaged and willing to write more about the novel. They use fidgets to stay focused as well as enjoy the scent of aromatherapy in the background while they are reading. For fun I allow my students to use the dry erase markers and boards to make pictures to go along with the novels.
