My lively learners love to express themselves orally, but have difficulty organizing their thoughts down on paper. The kids are eager to write and I am constantly thinking of ways to encourage a fun learning approach. The tiles will provide my learners with not only a a visual, but with tactiles, to present sequencing in different modalities. This will help them sequence events while addressing several other literary elements. The story tiles will expose them to fiction and nonfiction passages. These tools allow them to place the tiles in order on a mat. They will then use the pictures to write their own story step-by-step!!! There are also key words on the back of each tile to assist the children in their writing as well as increase their vocabulary skills.
