  • Sand, Water, and Lights of Fun

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

Thank you so much for the impact you have made on our students this year! The pictures I shared are from the study of Arctic animals. The children learned so much and were able to put animals in the water and on the ice by determining which animals would live in the Arctic and which ones would not.

I won't forget the children's faces as we opened the big box with our light up sand and water exploration table in it. When we turned the lights on the faces and voices were so excited.

Currently the children are learning about plants on the farm and are planting seeds in the soil in hopes that flowers or vegetables will begin to grow soon.

The learning possibilities are endless and would never have been possible without your donations toward our class project. I could never thank you enough for the joy you have given to me as a teacher and to my students. You are so greatly appreciated!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Susan Maddox

  • Imagine That Lemonade for Sale

    Funded Feb 1, 2022

Thank you so much for donating towards the Lemonade/grocerystore/and more station for our classroom. So far, the stand has been a grocery store, a farmers market, and a bakery. In 2 weeks it will become a lemonade stand and students will finish that week by getting to make real fresh lemonade to deliver to our lunchroom ladies, custodail staff, and our office staff.

The students love to pretend and have enjoyed the stand so much. The vocabulary building experiences are perfect to help our English Language Learners as well as our other students most of whom come from low income families.

The experiences you have allowed these students to have are invaluable and I would say will be remembered anytime they think back to their kindergarten year. I could never tell you thank you enough for all you have done for our class.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Susan Maddox

  • Read, Read, Read All About It!

    Funded Dec 10, 2021

My children are enjoying the new books you helped provide us with! They are very grateful for your generous donations!!!!! Many of my students came into the school year speaking very little or no English. Because of the books you helped provide, I have been able to read them many new stories each day and give them vocabulary they would not have had without the new books.

One example of the great vocabulary happened this week when the class was at the restroom. Someone had left paper towels in the floor and one of my English Language Learner students, said to his friends, "We need to pick up this rubbish." The new vocabulary word was introduced earlier that day in our new book, Kindness is my Superpower. Today we read a new book called Superworm, he visitied a Rubbish dump. The children got all excited to hear the word rubbish in the new story. They also pick up rubbish around our school now and brag about being great helpers.

You will never know the impact of your donation to our class, but I hope that you will know how much these students and I appreciate your gift to us. To look over and see children wanting to read the new books instead of asking to play with the I Pad, computers, etc. makes me really happy. We love technology too, however these children need to learn to love reading to help them go far in life.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Susan Maddox

  • Rainbow Drawers Make Learning Fun and Organized

    Funded Jan 13, 2020

When our boxes arrived, the children could not wait to see what was inside. The curiosity was great when I cut open the shipping boxes. They were so excited and could not wait to hear what we were going to use the beautiful colored drawers for.

The children in my classroom and I would like to thank you very much for helping us get our classroom centers organized. The children can now find what they need during center time so much easier. The children are begging to have more center time because they can find and use the materials so much easier and it makes center time more fun.

Before your donation helped us get our rainbow drawers, the games, puzzles, journals, and work jobs were in baskets or in broken down boxes and were very hard to organize. The new organization system helps us know right where to find things we need as well as to put them away.

Thank you again for your very generous donation to our project. I and my students this year as in years to come will enjoy these drawers.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Susan Maddox

  • Don't Be Puzzled While Learning

    Funded Dec 25, 2008

Thank you so much for helping my little kindergartners learn. We will enjoy the puzzles and activities so much. Our children will be so excited to "get mail" (new supplies). These puzzles will help our children learn to share, cooperate, learn letters and numbers and so much more. They will also allow our special needs children to use their fine motor skills and work with others to complete tasks. Words can never let you know how much your help is appreciated by us. Thank you again so much for your generosity”

  • Hop, Fly, or crawl to it Learn with frogs, ladybugs, and more

    Funded Jun 1, 2008

Thank you so much for making it possible for Science to come alive in our classroom. I can't wait to see the children's faces as they watch real hermit crabs, lady bugs, and ants. There faces are sure to amaze us all when they them watch tad poles change to frogs, and caterpillars change to butterflies. Thank you so much for making these hopefuls become realities for our students. These are items that I will be able to use year after year so your impact will be made known to many little lives. Thank you again for your support for our classroom”

My children and I are so thankful that you choose to help out our classroom. We can't wait to see and use our new materials. Thanks again for the blessing. Have a great day.

Mrs. M and 18 Kindergarten Children from Albertville Alabam”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Susan Maddox

I teach a kindergarten class of 18 students who are 5-6 years old. The majority of our children come with very little or no preschool experience. Due to low income levels, 14 of 18 students receive free lunch. The students are eager to learn but need the extra resources to help them grasp the concepts.
