My students will use these armchairs each day. This alternative seating will allow my students to have a comfortable, individual place to go and read. These seats will contribute to my classroom's comfortable and inviting atmosphere, as each student will a private place to sit and concentrate on their individual books that are on their appropriate reading level. These seats will also allow them to pull their seats next to each other at the reading station if they decide to partner read a book together. This freedom to move their seats, and still sit in a comfortable seat is very appealing to middle school students.
