  • Hygiene Items for 6th Graders

    Funded Dec 2, 2024

Thank you for all of these valuable and needed hygiene items. My students love receiving their bags full of items they need on a daily basis. Right now that it is colder, my students enjoy the chapsticks and lotions for their lips and dry skin. I always create small bags with the various items where I include the lotions, lipsticks, deodorants, feminine pads etc. My students really enjoy these items because they can keep them in their bag packs to refresh after P.E. Thanks again for all of your support and for providing these items to my students:)”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Jimenez

  • Classroom Basics - Part 2

    Funded Nov 13, 2024

Thank you for your kind donations and support with getting these items into my classroom. These items allow me to continue having everything we need in class. The new connecting outlets have been a game changer in the classroom. Students are able to charge their Chromebooks when needed which allows their learning to flow without interruptions. The ziplock bags allows my students to place their novels inside, which will allow them to stay in better conditions. I also use the Ziplock bags to store snacks and incentives. All the items in this project are vital in the classroom. Thanks again for making this possible :)”

  • New Sequels for our Classroom Library

    Funded Nov 15, 2024

The books are here!!! My students were super excited when we opened the boxes! The books are already on display around the classroom and students are excited to see all the sequels together in one spot. Next semester when the students read the their next novel, I also plan to display the sequel of Amari and the Night Brothers. I feel that displaying the books around the classroom will foster an interest for reading more books as students learn what happened next in the story. Thanks again for making this project possible for our students:)”

  • Getting Ready for the Festivals

    Funded Nov 13, 2024

How exciting to receive all these awesome, fun items for upcoming festivals and events. These items were chosen based on student input and interest. Most of our six graders love playing balloon darts at our festivals, it is always a hit! The balloons will allow the team to refill our balloon dart game throughout the event. The rest of the items are great student incentives at these events. At our last festival students had a blast with all the inflatable bats and lifesavers, which I know will be a hit once again:) Thanks for your support in making this possible:)”

The background is already up and ready for my students to make memories with their friends. • Hygiene Items for Young Adults

    Funded Oct 31, 2024

Thank you so much for all of these hygiene items. My students are always excited to receive goodie bags, mainly the boys who love AXE spray. The students have mentioned that they enjoy the deodorants because they have to run a mile every Wednesday and these items help them stay fresh after PE class. My students also enjoy getting lotions and chapsticks because hands and lips get very dry in the cold weather. Students are always grateful to have all of these type of items because they feel more secure having these items. Thanks again for making this project possible:)”

    Funded Nov 5, 2024

Thank you so much for your support with making this project possible! I have taken all materials to the cosmetology club, after school today and they were beyond excited with all the different materials. The students loved the hair of the various head manequins and our Black students were excited to see items that reflect themselves. The students are already eager to begin using the items and learn more about doing hair styling, makeup and nails. Thanks again for your support with getting all these great items to our cosmetology club. The smiles on the student's face was priceless:)”

  • We Need Ink

    Funded Nov 5, 2024

Thanks for your support with getting these materials into my classroom. I have already started using many reams of paper to print important documents and information for students right now that is the beginning of the year. I have also printed small packages for my three history classes. Printing paper is very vital in the middle school, as I see at least 100 students per day. With the ink and paper I will continue printing student assignments and work to display around the classroom. Thanks again for your support and providing needed materials for my students.”

My sixth-grade superstars are always eager to learn. They love projects and activities that are fun and educational at the same time. They love to have fun as they learn. I want to make sure that in my classroom, students always have all the necessary materials to apply what they learned and showcase their knowledge. Every child deserves a quality education without limitations. Most of my students come from a low socio-economic background which is why I need many essential materials. Students have limited access to resources such as technology or other materials to create or complete projects. I would love for all of my sixth-grade students to create wonderful projects without the worry of not having the necessary materials to complete their work. They can create beautiful pieces of art. Thanks in advance for investing in public education and essentially, the future of our nation.
