My students face social economic challenges. We are currently 67% free and reduced lunch. My students face language barriers with a high population of English Language Learners, as well. My students are primarily very shy because they are unsure about his or her surroundings, language, and customs. It is vital that ALL my students and ELL students feel comfortable and confident when teaching them to read. My students gain confidence when working with them one on one or within small groups. This is less intimidating for all students.
