  • Bright Minds, Bold Supplies: Tools for Engaged Learning!

    Funded Feb 7, 2025

Thanks to your generous support of our project "Bright Minds, Bold Supplies: Tools for Engaged Learning!", our classroom has been transformed into an even more vibrant, hands-on learning space. The new materials immediately sparked excitement and curiosity the moment my students walked in and saw them. I'll never forget the wide eyes and joyful voices as they explored the colorful math manipulatives, writing tools, and creative learning resources you helped provide. One student exclaimed, "¡Mira, maestra! ¡Ahora tenemos cosas nuevas para aprender!" — a perfect reminder of how impactful these supplies are for our bilingual learners.

We recently used the new materials during a lesson on shapes and measurement, where students used pattern blocks and linking cubes to build 3D figures and compare their attributes. The lesson was a hit! I saw students working together, sharing ideas, and using new vocabulary like "taller," "shorter," "circle," and "sphere" as they built and described their creations. These resources are helping my students stay engaged, think critically, and grow confident in expressing their ideas in both English and Spanish.

Looking ahead, we'll be diving into our upcoming unit on data collection and graphing, using the dry-erase boards and markers to record real-world data like class favorites and family traditions. With your support, my students are not only accessing the tools they need to succeed but also feeling empowered to explore, create, and thrive. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for making this possible!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. V

  • Adventures in Reading: Mercy Watson and Friends for Young Readers!

    Funded Jan 30, 2025

Thank you so much for your support of our project, Adventures in Reading: Mercy Watson and Friends for Young Readers! Because of your generosity, my students now have the incredible opportunity to hold their own copies of the books as we embark on exciting read-aloud adventures together.

The joy on their faces when they received their own books was priceless! Instead of just listening, they eagerly followed along, turning the pages in sync, pointing to words, and even predicting what would happen next. Having their own copies has transformed our read-aloud sessions into interactive, engaging experiences where students feel like true readers. One of my favorite moments was when a student exclaimed, "I feel like a real reader now!" as they proudly held their book.

These books are helping to build confidence, comprehension skills, and a love for reading in my young learners. With each new chapter, they are making connections, expanding their vocabulary, and deepening their understanding of stories. Your generosity has given my students the gift of literacy and excitement for books, and for that, I am truly grateful.

Thank you for making such a meaningful difference in our classroom!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. V

  • Little Hands, Big Dreams: Crafting Our Future

    Funded Dec 2, 2024

**Little Hands, Big Dreams: Crafting Our Future** has profoundly transformed my kindergarten students' learning experience, inspiring creativity, collaboration, and self-expression. The tools and resources from this project have empowered my students to explore, dream, and achieve in ways that were previously out of reach.

Before the project, limited materials often restricted creative exploration. With new craft supplies, hands-on manipulatives, and creative tools, our classroom has become a lively space where students actively engage in learning through doing. These resources have opened up opportunities to integrate creativity into multiple subjects, boosting confidence and fine motor skills.

One of the most significant changes has been the surge in creativity among my students. With access to quality materials, they now bring their ideas to life. For example, during a lesson on habitats, they crafted detailed models of animals and their environments using construction paper, markers, and other craft tools. These hands-on activities not only solidified their understanding of the subject but also encouraged storytelling and deeper engagement.

Collaboration has also flourished. Group projects like classroom murals and storybook creation have taught my students the value of teamwork, communication, and shared effort. These activities have fostered a strong sense of community, with students celebrating each other's unique contributions.

The resources have also supported critical skill development. Fine motor activities and manipulatives have improved hand-eye coordination, essential for writing and other foundational skills. My students now approach tasks like cutting and drawing with greater confidence and independence, positively impacting their academic progress.

The classroom treasure box, an integral part of this project, has been a powerful motivational tool. By rewarding effort, good behavior, and milestones, it has encouraged a growth mindset. The excitement and pride my students show when selecting a treasure reflect their appreciation for hard work and achievement.

Beyond academic and developmental benefits, this project has made my students feel valued. Many of them face challenges outside the classroom, and knowing that others care about their success has had a profound emotional impact. They treat the materials with respect and take pride in their creations, reinforcing their sense of self-worth.

**Little Hands, Big Dreams: Crafting Our Future** has not only met its goals but exceeded them. It has created a dynamic learning environment that nurtures creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking while building confidence and fostering a lifelong love for learning. The impact of these resources reaches far beyond the classroom, inspiring my students to dream big and believe in their potential.

Thanks to the generosity of donors, my students are thriving in a supportive and inspiring environment. This project has given them the tools to craft their futures with little hands and big dreams, and for that, I am deeply grateful.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. V

  • A Classroom that Delivers What Our Little Ones Need!

    Funded Sep 11, 2023

You cannot even imagine the excitement of my student's faces when they saw our new funded resources arrive in our classroom. Even I was ecstatic when I saw everything and got to unbox in front of them. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU! You made this possible and it is to you who I owe my thanks. These resources have already been put to use during out math and literacy classes. The resources for arts and crafts are currently being used for our open house decorations. Again, please receive my heartfelt thanks!”

  • Crafts for Thoughts!

    Funded Apr 3, 2023

I want to take the time to thank you for your kind donations. From the bottom of my heart I want you to know that these resources will impact not only this years students, but many more generations of students to come.

I wish I could record a video and share it with you so you can feel the excitement and energy that they showed when they first saw our new classroom supplies. To begin with, the cardstock has served so they can work on some Fall activities for our upcoming open house. Owls, and fish tanks made out of these materials are only some of the amazing projects they've been able to create.”

  • Headphones to the Rescue!

    Funded Feb 3, 2023

I am extremely grateful for the opportunity you have given this project to get funded. These headphones will serve students not only form this school year but many more to come.

It is often that students when using Ipads raise their hands and inform me that the can't here the question the academic software is prompting them to answer. I used to feel with my hands tied when I didn't have an alternative option to offer them to minimize distractions. Now with the use of these headphones, students will easily be able to focus and improve on their daily and long term classroom goals.”

With this carpet my students will be able to experience a different learning environment where a gathering opportunity will allow them to share great ideas amongst themselves. I am trying to make my instruction as a more student directed approach instead of the traditional desks and teacher in the front way. My students learning will be impacted by their ability to think, turn, and talk more inside the classroom in a comfortable way. I am positive that my students will love the idea of sitting on a carpet that makes learning fun for them. It is hard to afford these items on a teachers' salary, thank you for your support!
