I am so very grateful for your donations to my classroom. My class read Frindle and absolutely loved it. In the last chapter, they didn't want the book to end. They wanted it to go on. That's what this is all about. I wanted to have them experience the love of reading. We are now reading Wonder. Another amazing book. It is teaching them how to be kind to everyone while giving them a love for reading. We are planning a movie night. We are going to watch the movie Wonder on Zoom.
Thank you so much for helping me to give my class the opportunity to see how much fun reading can be. This year was a challenge teaching them online. You helped me to make the best of this situation.

The best way to improve reading , is to read more. With these books, my students will grow to be stronger readers. There is nothing like holding a book in your own hands and turning the pages. They have enjoyed being read to, but reading at their own pace is so very important. With these class sets of books, my class will be able to read and participate in literature circles virtually. With these new books, my students will have the opportunity to independently read more and read more books on their grade level. When the students are in the school building, they have the opportunity to borrow books from the classroom library. However, during this pandemic, they don't have the opportunity to borrow from school or their local libraries.
