These materials will be used to increase student engagement and create a calm classroom environment. The materials will be used in my classroom library, calming corner and for direct classroom instruction. I have one overall goal I have set and plan to execute within the first few months of school. By Fall Break 2018, I will establish a system that motivates and encourages dependent learners to think and work more independently. One way I will accomplish this goal is by setting up my classroom with bright and welcoming colors with a new rug, fidget toys and stress balls. I also plan to provide a variety of hands-on activities such as K'Nex sets, markers, timers, scissors and organizers for students that will increase student engagement and motivation.
